Spirit of Freedom Experience

The American Constitution Spirit Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit foundation with an exciting mission. Beginning in the fall of 2011 our groundbreaking Spirit of Freedom Tour will travel to 20 cities each year immersing millions of students, teachers, parents, and communities in the historical significance of the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the sacrifices made by our forefathers in adopting these governing documents. Through live historic reenactments, multimedia experiences, historical archives, and exciting interactive programs, this exhibit will engage visitors and make them part of the history of the Constitution as it unfolds before their very eyes.

SPIRIT OF FREEDOM GALLERY

The Spirit of Freedom Tour also presents a vehicle by which schools can permanently place bronze replicas of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights in their schools which is accomplished through our Constitution Plaque Initiative.

The Spirit of Freedom Tour is offered as a free experience for all students and visitors. A typical tour-stop in each city will last for one seven-day week whereby more than 75,000 students will be transported to the Spirit Pavilion with their classes during that week.

Advance Teams are dispatched to each potential tour stop city to engage school district leaders, educators, governmental representatives, and service organizations about the Spirit of Freedom Tour and the educational opportunity it provides their community.

Outreach Program Teams are highly trained educators who give stirring presentations and Plaque Initiative fundraising material to all participating schools in a city prior the Spirit of Freedom Tour arrival.

Continuing Education Programs enable teachers to provide advanced material on the Constitutional subject to their students after the tour has departed their community. All participating schools are eligible for the sponsored Continuing Education Program. The program utilizes the internet and a fully integrated website to provide advanced constitutional studies and civic interpretations for students of all ages. Additionally, it provides grant funding for accelerated students to visit important constitutional sites and organizations across the country. When requested, the site may be used by schools to assist with their fundraising efforts to permanently place the plaque set in their schools.

The Constitution Seminar Series takes place every Tuesday night in the Spirit Pavilion and features celebrity guest speakers discussing constitutional freedoms and education. The purpose of this seminar/reception is to provide local educators, parents, and government leaders with concepts and ideas to reach students about the Constitution.
