13-Sept-11 Two Dedication Ceremonys Set for Constitution Day

Constitution Day is officially on September 17, but it will be ofically recognized Friday, September 16 so students can celebrate this historic day. Douglas Freeman High School, runner-up in the We the People: The Citizen and The Constitution 2011 state competition and Moody Middle School, which excelled this year at the Model United Nations have each acquired a set of plaques and they will both hold a student assembly to formally present the bronze replicas of the Contitution to their students, faculty and perents. Both of these public schools schools are located in HenricoCounty in the Richmond area. Sneha Reddy, who won “Best Delegate” at the Model United Nations said, “These beautiful bronze plaques will serve as an expedition into our history and as living references for future generations.” The plaques will be prominently displayed at the main entrances of both schools.
